Welcome to the 2023 Snow Globe Decorating Competition!
As it’s thoroughly enjoyed by all those who take part, we are running our little competition for the 4th year.
This years shape – A Snow Globe
If you would like your kids to have a go, call into either Bottom Shop or the Misses Lobb and collect an MDF Snow Globe blank, there is no charge for these, 1 per child until we run out. All we ask is for the Childs name and age so we have a rough idea of how many from each age group to expect. If you’re a big kid (16+) and would like to have a go, that’s good too, however, we would like to see a donation go into the St. Columb Christmas Lights tin for each blank collected. Once you have your blank, entry into the competition is completely free.
The idea is to decorate your Snow Globe in any way you wish! Once they are done, take a photo just like the example above and email to entry@pgbm.co.uk ensuring that you have your Childs name & age in the message. We will then upload it into the online gallery of the correct age category as we receive them
There are 4 age categories: ages 5 & under, ages 6 – 10, ages 11 – 15 and adults (16+)
From 9am on the 19th December you, your Mum, Brother, Great Uncle Fred, anyone that wants to can pick the one they like the best, and from each category the one with the most votes by 2pm Christmas day will be the winner! Votes cast will need to be accompanied by a valid email address that will be separately verified for them to count.
Once again, there has been excellent local support, thanks to Dick Twinney for providing the example, and if you get the chance, be sure to say cheers to the people below who have all chipped in with a prize to make this happen!
For the 5 & unders Fitness For You have once again generously supported a fantastic party session for up to 8 children in their party pool, click the link for more details!
For the 6 – 10s, Dairyland Farm Park have generously donated the prize of a Family Day Ticket for up to 4 people to have a great day out at the park.
For the 11 – 15s, Vertical Descents have once again generously supported a voucher for 2 people to experience an activity of their choice up to the value of £80!! Check out their website to see the range of great activities they offer!
And for the Adult category (16+) we got a combo prize consisting of a £10 gift voucher generously donated by Sharron and Zoe down at The Misses Lobb, a beauty hamper generously donated by Helen down at Be-YOU-tiful, a £10 gift voucher generously donated by the Butchers Bakehouse and a £20 Glanvilles gift voucher to be used for whatever you want in store – and as if that’s not enough, Christina and the team at Trekenning Tourist Park have generously donated a weekend stay for 2 people in their beautifully converted barn!
Only Snow Globe blanks identical to the sample above will be considered for entry into the competition. All entries uploaded will display your Childs name & age. There is no cash alternative to the prizes. Family ticket is valid for 2 adults & 2 children. Fitness for you Party Session, Vertical Descents Experience and Weekend Stay to be liaised and booked direct with each company and subject to availability at time of booking, Beauty Hamper to be collected direct from Be-YOU-tiful in January and vouchers will be distributed to winners around the second week of January. Votes cast with email addresses that cannot be verified or duplicate votes for the same entry with the same email address will be removed. The judges decision is final. While the blanks have been chosen to be as child friendly as possible, please ensure young children are supervised while creating their masterpieces. Glanville’s St. Columb Ltd will accept no responsibility for flying globe blanks, the consumption of paint, glue, glitter etc!
