Why are Glanville’s Bags 25kg when most others are now 20kg?

Mainly because we are stubborn & old school!  For years prepacked solid fuels have been packed and sold mainly in 25kg bags.  As the price of coals have increased over the years, many suppliers have chosen to reduce the amount to 20Kgs to keep the bag price down, however, when worked out per kilo, buying our larger bags usually works out cheaper.  Also consider that for every ton of fuel Glanvilles sells, 10 disposable plastic packing bags are saved compared to the same amount being sold in 20Kg bags!!

Is there a minimum amount I need to order for a delivery?

Yes. Solid fuels must be a minimum of 2 bags per order.  We’ll give you a call if your order falls short.

Where can I get coal delivered?

If you’re lucky enough to live in our delivery zone, we’ll deliver to you – just use the postcode checker above.

Do you charge for delivery?

Yes. And if you’ve selected the delivery option, the price you see is the price you pay.  There is no additional delivery charge.

How quickly do you deliver?

All fuel deliveries are done by our own drivers and usually within 5 working days, most are done quicker.  However, due to the current fuel costs, smaller orders in less frequently served areas may incur a longer lead time.  We’ll give you a call if this affects your order.

Will you tip it into our coal bunker?

Yes – as long as it’s easy, quick and safe to get to, same goes for any sheds or out buildings.  We will not take coals into/through your house.  Our drivers are pretty accommodating, but please don’t expect them to traipse through excessively muddy or badly fowled areas or over green and slippery decking.  The driver will inform you if there is a problem.

Do I need to be home to sign for delivery?

Nope – as long as you don’t mind it being left outside or in a designated area that you’ve previously told us about.  However, if no one is home to receive the order, it is left at your risk.
